DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HOME AFFAIRS
⚖️ Visa Sabotage: Exposing Corruption and Systemic Abuse
The information provided here details a deliberate and coordinated effort to sabotage my legal immigration status in South Africa. Through the misuse of state institutions, fabricated affidavits, unlawful detentions, and direct interference with visa applications, a group of individuals—leveraging corrupt relationships within SAPS and Home Affairs—have sought to manipulate the system for personal and financial gain.
This section contains the official correspondence submitted to the Director General of Home Affairs, detailing how my passport was stolen and withheld, my visa extensions obstructed, and my immigration status weaponized to justify wrongful imprisonment, illegal eviction, and financial ruin.
Despite my full compliance with visa regulations for decades, those responsible have exploited gaps in the system to create a false legal narrative, portraying me as unlawfully present when, in fact, it was their deliberate interference that prevented my extensions.
This matter is not just a personal injustice—it highlights the severe vulnerabilities within the South African immigration and law enforcement system. If individuals with connections can so easily manipulate state agencies, anyone—local or foreign—can become a target.
The documents attached provide concrete evidence of these unlawful actions, exposing the misuse of Home Affairs authority, falsified records, and procedural sabotage. This is a direct appeal for transparency, accountability, and intervention to restore the integrity of my immigration status and prevent future abuses of this kind.
Overview – A System Hijacked
What’s documented in this section is not a routine visa issue. It is a comprehensive account of how state systems—Home Affairs, SAPS, and legal structures—were deliberately weaponized to sabotage the immigration status of a law-abiding foreign national.
Through fabricated affidavits, unlawful detentions, procedural manipulation, and the calculated theft and obstruction of passport documents, my immigration rights were erased—not because I broke the law, but because a consortium of landlords, SAPS officers, and complicit civilians found it useful to make me appear as though I had.
The result? Detention without cause. Eviction disguised as arrest. Visa extensions denied. Reputation destroyed. And background checks permanently infected by lies written into the public record.
This wasn’t negligence. It was coordinated sabotage. And it began with my passport.
The Director-General Submission
Given the extent of interference, corruption, and retaliation documented throughout this campaign, I bypassed local immigration offices and submitted a formal Letter of Good Cause directly to: Mr. Livhuwani Tommy Makhode, Director-General of Home Affairs.
My decision to submit directly to the Director-General was not a breach of procedure—it was a necessity born of real and persistent danger. As documented elsewhere on this site, the private investigator hired to orchestrate this campaign, Mr. Wouter de Swardt, maintains active and questionable relationships within multiple SAPS stations and, disturbingly, with personnel linked to Home Affairs. After he became aware of my attempts to initiate formal investigations into his conduct and the corruption surrounding this case, the threat of retaliatory actions increased significantly.
Having already endured unlawful arrests, fabricated charges, and multiple detentions coordinated through state channels, I cannot safely engage with a local immigration office whose personnel or processes may be compromised. My liberty, physical safety, and access to justice have been repeatedly targeted. To place myself in a location that could be surveilled, intercepted, or manipulated by the very parties who orchestrated these abuses would be reckless. For that reason, I submitted directly to the Director-General—as the only remaining channel positioned above the influence of those involved.
This submission was not just a request to explain the lapse in visa status—it was a detailed chronicle of how state infrastructure had been hijacked to manufacture that lapse, and how SAPS and Home Affairs personnel were used in a criminal campaign to obstruct my rights, sabotage my immigration history, and justify my wrongful imprisonment.
📎 A copy of the submission is embedded on this page. It includes:
-
A chronology of events spanning 2020–2024
-
Documentation of the theft and illegal retention of two passports
-
Evidence of falsified affidavits submitted to SAPS and courts under the name of Home Affairs
-
Analysis of how my immigration status was actively weaponized to sabotage bail, legal proceedings, and civil rights
-
The emotional and logistical consequences—including four months in Pollsmoor, blocked travel to visit my ill mother, and permanent reputational harm
The submission makes clear that what occurred was not a misunderstanding. It was a strategy. And it asks the Director-General not only to consider the extension of my visa, but to investigate how the name and authority of his department were co-opted—repeatedly—to justify illegal actions.

FACT FILE: PASSPORTS STOLEN TO SABOTAGE MY VIS
Two passports—my original and its replacement—were stolen and illegally retained by SAPS officers, the first for a year, the second for almost three years and is still illegally withehld.
These passports were used not to investigate criminality, but to obstruct visa extensions, deny bail, and sabotage my immigration history.
During both bail applications, officers claimed I was unlawfully present in Sputh Africa unlawfully—while knowingly holding my valid passport in a folder on their desks.

Evidence of Misconduct
False Affidavits Submitted in My Name
Two affidavits, presented to SAPS and prosecutors in 2022 and 2023 and attributed to Home Affairs officers, claimed I had never renewed my visa and was unlawfully present in South Africa since March 2021. These statements are provably false—directly contradicted by Home Affairs’ own digital records.
Contradictory Home Affairs Records
Internal system entries confirm that my visa had been legally extended until December 2021, with further eligibility under automatic COVID-era waivers. The records include clear language: “To continue to visit on holiday until 2021/12/31, TRV.NO.LMBG34J.” This makes the basis for both affidavits demonstrably invalid.
Deliberate Concealment of Passports
Investigating officers physically held my passport—both the original and its replacement—while simultaneously asserting in court that I was in breach of immigration law and a flight risk. My documents were retained not for legitimate process, but to manufacture legal exposure.
Home Affairs Used as a Cover for False Detention
Officers repeatedly claimed that Home Affairs had requested my detention and deportation. No documentation exists to support this claim. These statements were made orally to the NPA and courts, not through any legitimate channels—further amplifying the likelihood of fabrication.
No Investigative Response from Home Affairs
Despite escalating the matter directly to the Director-General, and providing extensive evidence of misuse, no action has been taken. The department has neither verified nor disavowed the documents submitted in its name, allowing the false narrative to persist unchallenged across legal and immigration records.
Institutional Silence as Endorsement
The absence of formal correction from Home Affairs permits the continued use of its name to justify unlawful detentions, blocked legal remedies, and reputational sabotage. Whether through oversight or fear, this silence has functionally endorsed one of the most damaging elements of the campaign against me.

FACT FILE: IMMIGRATION STATUS USED TO IMPRISON ME
SAPS Investigators relied on false affidavits from Home Affairs officials to portray me as illegal in South Africa from 31 March 2021—despite documented visa extensions and automatic waivers.
These fabrications were used to block bail, justify prolonged incarceration, and manufacture a Schedule 5 charge to mirror serious violent offenses.
Every one of those documents contradicted Home Affairs data found in their own system.

Systemic Implications – How the Machinery Was Hijacked
What happened to me did not occur in isolation. It was made possible by structural blind spots, institutional fatigue, and a culture of non-response. What began as corruption became permission—and ultimately, paralysis.
Immigration structures were turned into weapons. Affidavits from Home Affairs were accepted without scrutiny. Prosecutors took SAPS statements at face value. Courts were presented with fabricated narratives under official letterhead. At no point was the content of those affidavits cross-checked against the department’s own records—even when doing so would have taken minutes.
Law enforcement bypassed procedure entirely. Arrests were carried out without legitimate warrants. My passport was illegally retained for over a year. Equipment and data were seized under the guise of investigation and never returned, even after charges were withdrawn. Bail was denied based on demonstrably false information. And when magistrates intervened to correct course, SAPS stations simply ignored the court’s authority.
The oversight architecture collapsed. IPID, the Ministry of Police, the Western Cape Office for Police Oversight, and even the Press Council received full documentation—detailing every procedural violation and fabricated charge. They didn’t dispute it. They refused to acknowledge it. Silence replaced scrutiny. And in that silence, every abuse was allowed to metastasize.
Home Affairs never reviewed how its name and data were misused. Two separate officers from two separate offices submitted affidavits in two separate years—each built on fundamental falsehoods. Their claims contradicted the department’s own digital records. Their omissions

FACT FILE: A DIRECT APPEAL TO THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL
Because local immigration offices are compromised, I submitted my Letter of Good Cause directly to Mr. Livhuwani Tommy Makhode, Director-General of Home Affairs.
It includes forensic-level detail—documenting illegal detentions, misuse of immigration data, sabotage of visa submissions, and stolen identity documentation.
This wasn’t a request for special treatment. It was a cry for institutional protection.

Personal Impact – Immigration Sabotage & Life-Limiting Harm
What I endured wasn’t a breakdown in procedure. It was a hostile, targeted campaign to dismantle my identity, obstruct my liberty, and permanently sever my ties to the systems that might have protected me.
At its core was the sabotage of my immigration status.
Despite decades of legal compliance, all attempts to extend or regularize my visa were actively blocked by SAPS officers, and later corrupted through fabricated affidavits—submitted in the name of Home Affairs and riddled with falsehoods. Officers retained my passport illegally, withheld its return, and then used the resulting delay to brand me as unlawfully present in South Africa. It was a manufactured violation, designed to create vulnerability and deny bail.
This false immigration narrative was then fed directly to the media, weaponized by prosecutors, and institutionalized through court records. Despite possessing evidence of valid extensions and automatic COVID-era waivers, I was repeatedly cast as a fugitive—ensuring that I was not just detained, but disqualified.
Because of this campaign:
-
I was imprisoned without cause for four months
-
I remain unable to travel, work, or seek medical treatment abroad
-
I cannot apply for visa normalization or long-term residence
-
I cannot visit my mother during her terminal illness
-
I cannot secure housing, employment, or legal aid
-
I am denied entry to the UK, despite being a British citizen with urgent health needs
The impact on my mother has been devastating. Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2022, she has endured the emotional toll of watching her son misrepresented, humiliated, and erased—while knowing the truth and being unable to defend it. We have not seen each other since 2020.
Each passing day shortens the window for reconciliation. And unless the defamatory media coverage is corrected and my immigration status restored, that reunion may never come.
This isn’t bureaucratic delay. It is immigration weaponization—used to obstruct legal proceedings, enable asset seizure, and disqualify me from access to justice.
My attorneys have confirmed that, unless these articles are retracted and the false public record corrected, the Director-General is unlikely to grant my Letter of Good Cause—even if the factual evidence fully supports it. That means a single rejection could become permanent exclusion.
Every delay compounds the injury. Every article cements the lie. And every silence from oversight bodies places resolution further out of reach.
This isn’t hardship. It’s suffocation. Of rights, of relationships, of truth.

FACT FILE: THE CHARGE THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE EXISTED
The charge of remaining illegally in South Africa post–March 2021 was not based on law. It was based on false assertions by civilians, fabricated affidavits, and the deliberate omission of my approved 2021 visa extension.
When finally reviewed by the SPP the charge was withdrawn. But only after four months in Pollsmoor, R450,000 in legal fees, and permanent reputational injury.

FACT FILE — IMMIGRATION SABOTAGED AS A TOOL OF PUNISHMENT
For over twenty years, my immigration record was exemplary—each visa submitted on time, each regulation adhered to. That history was wiped out in a matter of months by a coordinated sabotage effort that turned my legal status into a weapon.
Two passports were unlawfully seized and withheld by SAPS officers—not to investigate a crime, but to ensure I could no longer submit extensions. Then, affidavits from Home Affairs officials—riddled with provable falsehoods—were used to claim I was unlawfully present. These lies weren’t mistakes. They were strategic fabrications.
The result? I was portrayed as a fugitive. Bail was denied. The media amplified the narrative. And my entire future was placed beyond reach.
I cannot travel. I cannot work. I cannot reunite with my terminally ill mother. And I cannot normalize my visa—because the very system designed to verify truth has been fed a manufactured lie.

Closing Call to Action – Justice Requires Resolution
This page is not a plea for sympathy. It is a demand for honesty.
The Home Affairs Department must formally review how its officers, data, and name were weaponized—not just against me, but against the principles of lawful process, judicial fairness, and immigration integrity.
The Director-General must respond to my Letter of Good Cause not as a formality, but as a responsibility. The facts are not speculative. The documents are not ambiguous. The consequences are not theoretical. What began as a campaign to defraud and dispossess me became a case study in how public systems can be hijacked—and how silence from oversight bodies enables that hijacking to continue.
The press must correct what it broke. Media24’s reporting did not just amplify lies—it institutionalized them. Until those articles are retracted, corrected, or replaced with fact-based coverage, I remain frozen in legal limbo, public vilification, and reputational exile. No visa review can proceed, and no restitution can begin, while the public record remains poisoned by falsehood.
To those reading with authority to act—this isn’t about me alone. It’s about whether justice can be restored after being strategically dismantled. Whether a citizen or foreign national who follows the law can survive being falsely branded a criminal. Whether truth still carries weight inside a system designed to reject it.
I have submitted every record. I have complied with every legal step. I have waited while others ignored, deflected, or denied.
Now, I ask—formally, publicly, and without apology—that these institutions respond.
